This is currently my best theme in terms of features and theme admin panel options, which are really simple to use and have nice toggle divs that make editing content faster and easier. It is totally new in terms of code as I’ve decided to get unified framework for all of my themes.

Can the sidebar be moved back to the other side and how many widgets are ready to go with this new release?
I’d like to add a forum on this theme. Would you suggest putting bbPress with this or something like simple Press?
Also, the demo and download don’t seem to be working right now on this post.

Sidebar position is optional + there are 6 custom designed widgets.
Forum is not possible as it takes too much time to manage, unless you sign in as moderator? =)

I downloaded the Isotherm news theme to test it out and experienced issues with it from the start. First and foremost: all of my posts are showing up in the featured section in blocks, but the photos don’t show up with them (there are images of multicolored lines instead of my post images), and nothing shows up below this in the body of the theme. My settings with my web-host are fine; all other themes I’ve tested work fine and the post-photos show up with no problem. Just wanted to leave a message. I wont be using this theme because I don’t have time to toy around with someone else’s theme issues, but I wanted to leave a note about it. I’m sure it will look nice enough on someone’s site when it’s fixed. Bye-now….

Tnx for your report,..but have to say issues you encountered are not bugs but lack of configuration in theme options panel. Images are not showing up because you didn’t specify featured images when editing/adding posts….otherwise good luck with premium themes

I agree with the other comments, this was all the users lack of understanding how to set up the theme. I have it running on Indyposted.com with no issues whatsoever, I’m changing thing around a bit to match what I need but everything works as advertised.

If you don’t have an image of avatar in images folder in theme files, copy this one in ‘images’ folder and you’re done.

I have a similar problem with InuiTypes. When I post a post, I add a custom field named “image” and add a value, which is a full path to the image, but what i get is just an empty frame – both in the post and on the front page. What I do wrong?

All updated themes, including Inuit Types, use Custom Settings box for posting custom fields – you will find it directly below post editing box. Also update to latest version and try again.

Love the themes. Since the upgrade to 2.8, however, in the theme options, my categories aren’t showing anywhere where they are supposed to in either IsoTherm and Igloo. Any reason for this and solution?
In IsoTherm in the Exclude Categories from Header they show up like:
id= and then nothing?
For Igloo, nothing is there

I had upgraded to the latest IsoTherm News theme to no avail because I downloaded it a few days ago. However, I downloaded fresh copies of both themes today and that fixed everything.

By default theme doesn’t have any options selected…so before you click Save changes button for the first time, options are not baked inside PHP – so you have a blank screen.

@Federico – Featured box contains all recent posts published on your blog,…so in order to exclude particular category you’ll need to change query in code – code is positioned in library/featured.php (line 4): just add -category(id) in query_posts

hey sexy theme…i loved all the features…tested it on my local installation of wordpress…on my desktop and works like a charm…
but i got a major problem….when i uploaded theme to my hosting …and activated theme for my blog….all i got was a blank screen….and nothing works after that…i mean everything is blank….even nothing works in wordpress installation …its all blank…so i deleted the theme…and now its fine…but everytime i activate theme…its the same…
can u please resolve this issue??

I’m using the IsoTherm Newspaper theme, but the “Browsing Headlines ” section is not working on the front page.
I have the featured post box turned on.
If I click on a category, the articles show up just fine with the double column within that category.
I have images uploaded to my server and the full path within the “image” custom fields,
what am i donig wrong?
does the headlines need to be in a special category? need a custom field? i actually have less then 6 posts, does it matter?

Is there a way to make “Home” category appear all capitalized “HOME”?

This is the theme I have been waiting for and thank you for making this happen. I have one question regarding the image box and the display.
Is there a way for me to show the pictures in the box with the emphasis of the top of the pictures? What I mean is that because the pictures are resized to fit into the featured boxes, they only show the mid area, cutting the face on the top out. How can I make it show the top of the picture which is where the face is?

And when I click into the full post, the picture doesn’t retract back to its original size. If there a way to make the whole picture show in the full post?

Hi, I love this theme! However, i’m experiencing one issue with the Browsing Headlines. When I am using it with the featured box they do not appear on the home page. But when I remove the featured box… they do appear. I’ve added images on 7 posts to see if that might have been the issue… but still no luck.
Am I missing something?

How do you embed video in the sidebar widget and ensure that it doesn’t create a post too? I have a video I want to show in the sidebar but don’t want a post to appear on the front page too. Currently, I embedded the full code in the custom settings and the video appears in the sidebar; but there’s an empty post appearing on the front page too.

First of all thanks for such a beautiful and highly customizable theme.
I have installed it on my blog and am using it with theme test drive plugin.
Everything is working fine except :
1. When i enable featured post section, some of the blog posts dont show up (recent ones) on the homepage and when i disable the featured post section, they show up.
2. As you told, in order to display images (featured and besides post title) correctly on homepage, i need to put the image url in “Custom Image Location” but i can really do that for each and every post as my blog has around 150+ postbase. Currently my theme uses the image url filled in “Custom Fields”. Is there a way to use the current custom field value to display images ?
3. In future, if you update this theme ( and i seriously hope so) do i have to re-enter all the settings once again ?

Thanks for the great theme. I have reviewed hundreds of themes and I am very impressed.
I am planning to use IsoTherm News for an arts and heritage charity (NGO) web site.
I really like the theme and it is working out well for the most part. I have 3 items (in order of importance) that I’d appreciate your help and comments on:
1. I have 8 test posts in 2 different months and no posts are listed when I select archive link. (example http://cityofbordentownnj.com/bh/2009/12/)
Any suggestions?
2. My blog/website is 6 categories and will have new posts at VARIOUS intervals in each category. Very similar to a newspaper with different departments.
My guess is that all posts are currently programmed to be pushed down based on date of posting without looking at categories. This is kind of like having multiple sports stories push a world war news item off the front page because there were more sports played and stories posted than war news items that day. (see example: 2 Resources-Links entries and no Arts entry at http://cityofbordentownnj.com/bh/)
Is there a way to keep all 6 categories with the newest post within each category on the front page (picture section)?
3. I’d like to control the images more (3 sizes, 2 orientations, thumbs, posts and autocropping) as well as have a full size image (uncropped) available. I have some very High definition/archival photos that I’d like to feature in posts. Also, images like maps and portraits really look odd when cut in the wrong places or wrong dimensions.
Can I specify different images (for newest post, vertical, horizontal, thumbnail, full size/single post) or specify boundary locations for cropping and resizing for various purposes? If not, do you have any suggestions as to a recommended size or bounding area that will make the most important part of the image centered for all the various purposes?

1. Tnx for the bug report – when you have more than 7 posts at specific archive it works fine – strange I haven’t found this bug before.
2. It is but customization is needed, current the newest overall posts are shown at the front, otherwise good suggestion for further development.
3. Currently, all images are cropped the same so controlling the size of thumbnails isn’t possible at the moment, but as you have suggested before, this feature is pretty cool so it will probably be implemented sometime in future.

Hello! First off, thank you so much releasing this theme. While I’m very comfortable with modifying themes & templates to give it my stamp of personality, I find I didn’t really have to do that with this one.
Anyways, I’m also sharing the same issue some of the users have in regards to the Archive function. Some of my posts are showing up, but many months are showing up blank. Any solutions or troubleshooting advice would be very appreciated. Thanks!

first of all – isotherm is a great theme !
I’ve set up on for the site http://www.nawybiegu.pl (a polish fashion blog)
I’ve got a problem with archives widget cause it’s not displaying some of the posts.
(the number of posts per month is correct but in some months post do not display or only some of theme).
I’ve reverted back to standard Kubrik and all was fine. So I assume that somehow this is a isotherm fault
