March 25th, 2009

I just uploaded new version for Inuit Types. You will probably notice versions 1.3 and 1.4 are missing,…that’s a long story so I’ll leave it to your imagination =) … Also tnx to Michael for his contribution on important Feedbuner bug report.

Hi I’m using your theme in songcafe.cn. It’s look great, simple and profesional. I think it mus be premium, but free. Thanks so many …

    Hi Željan,
Of course it’s a great theme but you could you let us know about the list of things changed/added and if theres any new feature?

Just added splash page to sidebar.php to suit needs of WP theme repository so nothing new actually, at least not for end users.

Ah Ok. I am actually using the first version and it suits my needs. Moreover I have customized it at some places so upgrading may create some problems for me. Anyway, great going 🙂

I also include changelog in every theme so you can check the whole changes made so far if you want,…it’s included in theme files so check that out.

Love the theme, but am having a problem. When I paste the URL into the image custom ID for the thumbnail, I get the image automatically inserted in the top of the post. Since I have it elsewhere, it appears twice.

    Example: http://www.smallpcreviews.com/asus-eee-pc-1000he-now-shipping

    Any ideas?

      Jeffery,

Only paste image into custom field and not into post, custom field generates thumbnail on front and inserts image in single posts at the top.

@Michael – I think Google is doing terrible job with Feedburner so this server url error was probably not just problem with my theme but with most of themes that use Feedburner for their RSS and Email subscriptions.

I’m currently setting up my new blog with Inuit Types and it works like a charm but i’ve run into a little bit of trouble for the first time: if I want to display the thumb-generated image on the single post view center-aligned intstead of left or right, what and where do I change in the css-code?
    Great job!

Go to single.php file, line 57 and change class=”fr” to class=”fl” and image will float on left. However if you want to display image on center add center tags around image between lines 56 and 58

Didn’t get the center tags-thing to work but managed to solve the problem by adding another css-class. Thanks for the quick support, though.

First of all, thanks for a beautiful and well tought out theme.

I also want the image to be centered on the single post. I tried the tags, but I am a complete code newbie. Can we get a more detailed example or another solution?

Hope you keep doing such a great job with this template and your projects.

Hi, it’s great layout with many options. But there are a couple of issues that I encountered, (1) when I tried to increase the number of featured posts from 0, the font for “comments” font run for the 2nd featured posts onwards; (2) For any posts other than the 1st post, comments are not allowed eventhough I have amended the setting in WP settings.I tried everything I can think off but could not turn on the comment function. (3) When I tried to add script for the “footer” it appears at the “header”. Please help. Thanks

Becky, theme is probably not the issue, because you’re the only one reporting this, try this options:

Deactivate all plugins and activate them one by one until you discover ones that are corrupting theme files
Check if you have disabled comments on single posts

I found out what the problem was, the setting in WP auto.ly shifted to no comments whenever I change the layout, not sure why that happens but it’s fixed now. Thanks

    hi – a question:

I’d like to give the links in the twitter app a different background colour to make them stand out from the text, eg, white on a red background. i can probably add a tag in the widgets part of the stylesheet but i’d need to update the widget code to recognise the new tag. How can i do that …?

Hey, I love the Inuit theme, but I want to change the sidebar colors (eliminate the white on black). I saw the above post for tweaking an individual widget, is it possible to tweak the whole sidebar? I’m kind of a code idiot and had some trouble finding it on my own.

    Hi,

I was wondering for the Inuit Types theme if the post thumbnail can be automatically added based on the first image in a post? Sort of like with the Isotherm theme.. where you don’t need to copy the image link

Upload image for desired post and paste full URL path to it in Image custom field metabox found below post content write panel. If you have issues with image resizing script – read this post.
